자기 상관이 총통의 목숨을 노린 이 비겁한 시도에 가담했다는 걸 아는 병사는 누구든 그 자리에서 상관을 쏴 죽여도 좋다고 말이야!

정말 가관이겠지? 어린 병사 조니가 긴 행군을 하느라 발이 퉁퉁 부어 있는데 지휘관이 소리를 지르며 야단을 쳤다고 해봐.
Little Johnny는 히틀러의 새로운 명령이 가져올 혼란스럽고 우스꽝스러운 상황을 비꼬기 위해 안네가 설정한 가상의 인물입니다.
Johnny grabs his rifle, shouts, “You, you tried to kill the Fuhrer. Take that!”
그럼 조니가 소총을 집어 들고는 소리치는 거지. “너, 너 총통을 죽이려고 했지? 이거라도 먹어라!”
One shot, and the snooty officer who dared to reprimand him passes into eternal life (or is it eternal death?).
탕! 총성 한 발에, 감히 조니를 꾸짖던 그 거만한 장교는 영생의 길로(아니면 영원한 죽음의 길로?) 떠나는 거야.
Eventually, every time an officer sees a soldier or gives an order, he’ll be practically wetting his pants,
결국 장교들은 병사들을 보거나 명령을 내릴 때마다 아주 바지에 오줌을 지릴 지경이 되겠지.

Dearest Kitty, “A bundle of contradictions” was the end of my previous letter and is the beginning of this one.
사랑하는 키티에게, 지난번 편지의 마지막 말이 ‘모순덩어리’였는데 이번 편지의 시작도 그렇게 되네.
