It started in the sixth grade with eggs. And a snake. And the Baker brothers.

The Baker brothers’ names are Matt and Mike, but even now I can’t tell you which one’s which. You never see one without the other.
베이커네 형제들 이름은 맷과 마이크인데, 지금까지도 누가 누군지 도통 구분을 못 하겠다. 둘은 항상 붙어 다닌다.
줄리의 두 오빠인 맷(Matt)과 마이크(Mike)가 처음으로 자세히 언급됩니다. 브라이스의 시선에서 본 형들의 개성 넘치는 모습이 흥미롭군요.
And even though they’re not twins, they do look and sound pretty much the same,
둘은 쌍둥이가 아니었는데도 생김새나 목소리가 거의 똑같았다.
and they’re both in Lynetta’s class, so maybe one of them got held back.
게다가 둘 다 리네타 누나와 같은 반인 걸 보면, 아마 한 명이 유급을 당한 모양이었다.
Although I can’t exactly see a teacher voluntarily having either of those maniacs two years in a row.
물론 어떤 선생님이 저런 미치광이들을 자원해서 2년 연속으로 맡으려 할지는 의문이지만 말이다.
Regardless, Matt and Mike are the ones who taught me that snakes eat eggs.
어쨌든 맷과 마이크는 나에게 뱀이 달걀을 먹는다는 사실을 가르쳐 준 장본인들이었다.
And when I say they eat eggs, I’m talking they eat them raw and shell-on whole.
뱀이 달걀을 먹는다는 건, 익히지 않은 날달걀을 껍데기째 통째로 삼킨다는 뜻이었다.
I probably would’ve gone my entire life without this little bit of reptilian trivia if it hadn’t been for Lynetta.
리네타 누나가 아니었다면 나는 평생 파충류에 관한 이런 잡지식 따위는 모르고 살았을 것이다.
