“What kind of story did she tell?” asked Mrs. Arable. “Well,” began Fern, “she told us about a cousin of hers who caught a fish in her web.
“샬롯이 어떤 이야기를 해줬는데?” 애러블 부인이 물었어요. “음,” 펀이 입을 뗐어요. “샬롯이 자기 거미줄로 물고기를 잡은 사촌 언니 이야기를 해줬어요.”
Don't you think that's fascinating?” “Fern, dear, how would a fish get in a spider's web?” said Mrs. Arable.
“정말 흥미진진하지 않아요?” “펀, 얘야, 어떻게 물고기가 거미줄에 걸리겠니?” 애러블 부인이 말했어요.
“You know it couldn't happen. You're making this up.” “Oh, it happened all right,” replied Fern.
“그런 일은 일어날 수 없다는 걸 너도 알잖니. 네가 지어낸 이야기구나.” “아니에요, 정말로 있었던 일이에요.” 펀이 대답했어요.
“Charlotte never fibs. This cousin of hers built a web across a stream.
“샬롯은 절대로 거짓말을 하지 않아요. 이 사촌 언니는 시냇물을 가로질러 거미줄을 쳤대요.”

One day she was hanging around on the web and a tiny fish leaped into the air and got tangled in the web.
