“I guess,” Stanley agreed. X-Ray smiled. “You’re a good guy, Caveman.”
“그런 것 같아.” 스탠리도 동의했다. 엑스레이가 미소를 지었다. “넌 참 괜찮은 녀석이야, 원시인.”
Stanley picked up his shovel. The more he thought about it, the more he was glad that he agreed to let X-Ray have anything he might find.
스탠리는 삽을 집어 들었다. 생각하면 할수록, 뭔가를 찾으면 엑스레이에게 주겠다고 약속한 게 잘한 일이라는 생각이 들었다.
If he was going to survive at Camp Green Lake, it was far more important that X-Ray think he was a good guy than it was for him to get one day off.
초록 호수 캠프에서 살아남으려면 하루 쉬는 것보다 엑스레이에게 좋은 인상을 심어주는 게 훨씬 더 중요했기 때문이다.

In fact, except for Zero, X-Ray was the smallest. Armpit was the biggest.
사실 제로를 빼면 엑스레이의 몸집이 가장 작았다. 암핏이 덩치는 제일 컸다.
Zigzag may have been taller than Armpit, but that was only because of his neck.
지그재그가 암핏보다 키는 더 클지 몰라도 그건 목이 길어서일 뿐이었다.
Yet Armpit, and all the others, seemed to be willing to do whatever X-Ray asked of them.
